Everyone's doing it! lol Also, it's a great idea. For my reference, as well.

Last night I went to the barn, and turned on the water for the big tub as usual. Unfortunately, I immediately st about working on the stalls (the cleaners just clean, I have to put more bedding in). Then I put up the new fly catchers. And finally, when I went out to put up the biting fly trap, I realized my mistake.

Oops.

Oops.
These are from the hail storm.
I was most impressed with the way the hail punched holes in the dog's water bucket.

Water in all sorts of unusual places.

Poor trees did not fare well. There are little pieces of this one all over the backyard.

Pieces of the gravely stuff from my roof. (As opposed to the pieces of roof I've been picking up out of my yard).

It's like snow, but not.

I had my usual house fixing company out this morning because I saw of piece of what I think my be my skylight. Their guy said that the skylights outer layer is broken but not the inner layer (had no idea there was more than one layer), the roof needs to be replaced, and that there are marks and dents on the trim.
He hadn't checked my stall barn or arena roof, so is going back to do that.
We'll see what insurance says.

Right now we have probably 50 mph winds, hail, and sideways rain. Listening to it hitting my skylight hoping against hope that it stops before it breaks it. *cringes*
Luckily I had put concrete blocks around the dog boxes (that I took from where I had them at the fence), and that's keeping them in place this time.
Oh look, the hail is quarter sized. Fuck me.

*My parents got here last Thursday evening having said they would be here for about two weeks. So, by Saturday, they were saying they wanted to leave on Monday. OMG. Talking with one of my choir pals eased what fears I had. She said not only is her husband that way, but so were his parents (wanting to leave as soon as they get somewhere).
I got them to stay through Tuesday-my half day-so that we could eat out with my nurses. Since my mom wanted to celebrate her birthday 8 months early we did that. Currently their ages add up to 160, so we put Happy 160th on the cake. :D It was her idea. We ate at Red Robin, and had a lot of fun. Yummy onion rings. Unfortunately the fish and chips weren't as good as they had been in the past. :(
*While my parents were here, we binge watched Twin Peaks. I never watched it initially, but they watched most of it. OMG, it's hilarious. Definitely from the late 80's. And the weird. Occasionally the absurd gets a bit too absurd-like the ancient bellhop who leans back in to give Cooper a thumbs up three times while he's lying on the floor with gunshot wounds.
We made it to S2Ep5. My parents don't have Netflix. muaaaa hahaha That'll teach them to leave. I think they're going to buy the second season so they can finish it.
*On Sunday I worked Tess in the trailer about 15 minutes, then rode her walk/trot for 20 minutes. For real, there was no fight. I texted my trainer that she might want to get some warm coats. She replied that Tess was probably just planning to kill me later. That made me feel better. lol
*Turns out, it was Rex who was planning on causing trouble. I got him out of the big field, and the other two did not follow us in. So the whole time I was getting him ready, he's anxious and calling. Got in the arena, and he was worried, not paying attention, not moving forward. Tried lateral work-no dice. Backing up and side pass? Nope. Little circles? Little forward. Finally got him with a side pass down the side of the wall.
Rex then paid attention to me for the rest of the ride.
However, once I put him back in his stall he started calling and pacing. Argh! Apparently he sounded urgent enough that the other two assholes finally came in.
Since the only way I get them all at once-mostly-is to nab Tess, I think I might just do that from now on.

From spikes girl58:
Class of 1990.
My graduating class had 28 in it.
1. Did you know your spouse? Don't have one.
2. Did you car pool? Nope. I lived out of town, and drove myself.
3. What kind of car did you have? at that point I think it was a white 1968 VW Bug. And occasionally a ? VW scirocco (that had wires having out because the previous owner thought he was a mechanic).
4. It's FRIDAY night where are you going? Senior year probably into the next town (about 10,000 people) to 'cruise' and hang out. I think. Or, if there was a football or basketball game, playing in the pep band.
5. What kind of job did you have? None. Although I did help my parents at the restaurant.
6. Were you a party animal? Not technically. lol
7. Were you considered a jock? Oh, hell no. I only lettered in track because I was in it all four years.
8. Were you in choir/band? Both
9. Were you a nerd? We didn't really have a nerd group, but probably? Maybe?
10. Did you get suspended? Oh no.
11. Can you sing the fight/school song? Yep. Can do most of the moves from when I was a cheerleader.
12. Where did you eat? at school. We didn't have an open campus. And there was nowhere to eat anyway.
13. Where was high school? Stanfield Oregon
14. What was your school mascot? Tiger! (old costume, too. lol)
15. If you could go back and do it over? Nope.
16. Do you still talk to the person you went to prom with? I have talked to him. We're friends on Facebook, but don't interact much.
17.Are you planning on going to the next reunion? I think maybe there has been one, only advertised to the people still living around there. Either way, no.
18.Are you still in contact with people from high school? Some of them, yes.
19.Did you skip school? No way.
20.Do you know where your high school sweetheart is? Same one I went to prom with.
21.What was your favorite subject? Science. Also enjoyed Vo-Ag.
22.Do you still have your High School ring? My parents bought me a fashion ring instead, but someone stole it a few years later.
23.Do you still have your year-books? At least from senior year.

I got in to the clinic to find that my soft hearted NP had picked up a babyish bird that she found on her lawn that only had one leg. She was going to take it to a lady who worked with wild animals. It died in the afternoon, poor thing.
Then I get home after choir, and go to clean the guest bathroom again, and realize (after turning on the closet light-that I don't usually do) that I think the whole wall of the closet with the shower on the other side has mold. I can see little brown dots that I'm pretty sure aren't termites. (would be better if it were termites, maybe). I'm kind of pissed because I had a friend fix it for me a few years ago when I realized the shower had been leaking, and while it didn't look pretty, I thought it had been dealt with. No one has really used the shower since then, except for when I was having the sewer problem, and that was mostly just on the floor of the shower.
My parents are going to be here tomorrow, and they aren't young. I haven't taken anything down yet, so it should be okay. And it still smells like fucking cat pee. ARGH!
I'll ask my dad what he thinks.
Then I go to get the horses in, and on my way through Tess' stall, I check her water bowl, and *there's a fucking dead bird in it!* At first I thought it was poop because it was brown, and they do that occasionally, but then I saw the bird. WTF? I bleached the shit out of that. Threw the bird in her run because I was freaked out.
So yeah, fun times.
Still trying to wash my dark clothing because my washer beeps out about 5 times a wash. At least partly due to my hard water, I'll bet, but it's getting worse, and driving me nuts. If I had had a good month I'd be getting a new washer.
My parents should be here tomorrow, and not only do I have a meeting at lunch, but I also have a class in the evening. It's my last class for the year, so I really don't want to skip it. I had asked them to get here Friday, but apparently my mom has been driving fast. lol Speed demon.
But hopefully tomorrow will be better. With no dead fucking birds.

HOLY SHIT!! ALL YA'LL NEED TO BE WATCHING THIS!!!
For real. Most of the time my mouth had been open, just in awe of what these people are doing.
And this last little girl, they showed her warming up looking like just a little girl might, AND THEN SHE STARTED HER ROUTINE!
Go, now. Go watch it. Shoo.
